At the Marché du Film, held within the framework of the 78th Cannes International Film Festival, the Cinema Foundation of Armenia continues a series of meetings aimed at expanding international partnerships and identifying new opportunities for industry collaboration.

Representatives of the Foundation have met with leaders of several international institutions. Notably, a meeting was held with Mohammad Tayyebi, General Director for Festivals and International Cooperation at Iran’s Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs. From the Armenian side, Lilit Arakelyan, Head of the Foundation’s International Department, took part in the discussion.
According to the information provided, the parties discussed potential avenues for the development of Armenian-Iranian film cooperation, support mechanisms for joint film projects, prerequisites for signing a memorandum of understanding, and formats for both short- and long-term practical collaboration. During the film market in France, a meeting was also held with the leadership of the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center. Additionally, meetings were held with Eurimages Executive Director Susan Newman Baudais and Enrico Vanucci, Deputy Director of the Eurimages Foundation. Discussions focused on Armenia’s participation in experimental programs supported by Eurimages, as well as the possibility of organizing a retrospective screening of a film dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Sergei Parajanov during the Eurimages Board of Management meeting scheduled for December 3, 2025.
